The National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) announced last Saturday that it had held, on the same day, an expanded technical meeting in Istanbul. This meeting brought together the its working group (the International Cooperation Office and the Planning and Follow-up Department), along with representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Islamic Development Bank, and the Islamic Organization for Food Security.
The NESDB said this meeting comes within the framework of its efforts to mobilize international resources and support, and to enhance institutional coordination, thereby contributing to the support and implementation of food security programmes and projects in the coming phase, for the benefit of relevant ministries and government institutions in the food security sector.
The meeting discussed mechanisms for analysing the food basket, identifying funding gaps, and strengthening sectoral responses, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and achieving a sustainable developmental impact that supports economic and social stability.
