Libya’s Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) reported last Thursday (22 January) that it held a follow-up meeting on 21 January with project contractor, UK Lighting Group Ltd, on the Implementation of the Solar Energy Systems Project at its Benghazi headquarters and at the Marsa al-Hariga Port and Tobruk Refinery.
UK Lighting Group Ltd, which according to Companies House was incorporated on 7 November 2024, is contracted to supply and install the solar project.
The meeting addressed the project implementation steps and the approved work mechanism, as well as reviewing the implementation schedule and the technical and administrative coordination requirements among the relevant parties to ensure adherence to the approved technical specifications and established timelines.
AGOCO reported that specialized engineers from Italy and China participated in the meeting. UK Lighting Group, along with their technical team, presented a technical overview covering the components of the solar energy system and the installation phases. Technical inquiries were addressed to ensure proper implementation and the achievement of the project’s operational objectives according to the approved standards.
