Libya’s Tripoli based Ministry of Tourism and Traditional Industries reported last Tuesday (25 November), that its Minister Nasr al-Din Milad al-Fazzani, received members of the organizing committee for the Fesania Desert Rally, where he affirmed his full support for holding the second edition of the rally, scheduled to begin on 1 January 2026 in Wadi al-Hayat.

The announcement comes following the huge success of the TeTe Waddan Desert Rally 2025 held at the start of this month, where organisers reported there were more than 350,000 visitors.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of the event in showcasing Libya as a promising destination for desert tourism, noting the need to facilitate visa procedures and entry for international competitors to enhance Libya’s presence in global sporting events.

He also affirmed that the rally will represent a significant incentive for revitalizing tourism and the economy in the south of the country, and supporting initiatives aimed at investing in the region’s unique natural resources in a way that serves local development and promotes its tourism potential.
