Speaking yesterday during a panel discussion at Milan’s Gastec 2025 conference dedicated to discussing the future of energy in North Africa in light of current challenges, and ensuring gas supplies to global markets, Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) Chairman, Masoud Sulieman Masoud emphasised:
• Libya’s pivotal role in supporting global energy security by increasing production and developing oil and gas infrastructure.
• The high turnout from major international companies in the latest public bidding round reflects growing confidence in the Libyan investment climate and the state’s commitment to effective partnerships with international institutions.
• Libya’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions through clear policies for a shift toward renewable energy and investment in clean solutions that balance meeting global energy demand with environmental conservation.
• The National Oil Corporation’s strategy aims to increase oil and gas production rates, contributing to strengthening the state’s resources and meeting the needs of international partners.
Masoud also underscored that Libya is confidently moving forward towards consolidating its position as one of the most important and reliable energy suppliers, while fully adhering to environmental standards and technological innovation.
