The Administrative Control Authority (ACA) has reached settlements with printing companies resulting in the recovery of about 200 million dinars, and the reduction of the value of contracts from 385 million dinars down to 209 million dinars, bringing the total funds recovered to 409 million dinars.
The revelation came during a meeting of the head of the ACA last Sunday (13 July), with the Minister of Education-designate, Ali Al-Abed, to follow up on the school textbook file for the years 2024 to 2026, and settlements with local printing companies.
The meeting also touched on the readiness of the Ministry of Education and the Curriculum Centre to store books and inventory stores, in addition to following up on observations and violations recorded, while stressing the need to deliver school books on time and ensure the application of legal and technical standards.
Suspension of head of Textbook Stores Department
In parallel,the head of the ACA issued Resolution No. (393) of 2025 suspending the head of the Main Stores department at the Centre for Educational Curricula and Educational Research of the Tripoli based Ministry of Education.
The ACA said the decision was based on the report of the Committee to follow up the printing and supply of textbooks, and what was required by the public interest, based on the provisions of Article (31) of Law No. (20) of 2013 regarding the establishment of the ACA and its amendments, and its executive regulations.
