A high-level Libyan delegation headed by the Tripoli based Minister of Transport, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, including Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, Abdessalam Zoubi, paid an official visit to the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, where they were received by the President of the Republic of Chad, Field Marshal Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, at the Presidential Palace.
Reactivation of direct flights
The meeting dealt with a number of issues of common interest, most notably cooperation in the field of air transport and the activation of direct flights between the two countries, as well as enhancing trade and economic exchange to achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
Border security, organised crime and illegal migration
They also discussed the development of military and security cooperation mechanisms, especially with regard to securing common borders, combating organised crime and irregular migration, in a way that contributes to supporting regional stability and protecting the national interests of the two countries.
