The Chairman of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Mustafa Gültepe revealed yesterday that his association will be sending a trade delegation to Libya this April, Anadoul News Agency reported.
Gültepe was evaluating the latest Turkish export figures in Ankara at a meeting where Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced the foreign trade figures for February.
Gültepe pointed out that 2025 started with an export target of 280 billion dollars and that Turkish exports should be increased by at least 7 percent this year in order to reach the target.
However, he pointed out that they fell short of the target in the first two months of 2025.
He said all Turkish exporters will continue their efforts to achieve the export targets by increasing market diversity and strengthening value-added exports.
This effort included organising trade delegations to various countries, including Libya in April this year.
