NOC announces force majeure at Zawia port

Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced that the Libyan Fertilizer Company today successfully restarted its second urea plant.

This comes after a closure of more than 16 months due to the completion of its annual overhaul. The overhaul, the NOC said, coincided with the implementation of several projects, most notably the installation of a high-pressure “reactor”, lining the high-pressure “washing device”, and working on repairing boilers.

‎The plant’s production capacity has reached 80% of its full capacity, which is gradually expandable, the NOC said.‎
