The second Libya International Mining Forum and Exhibition (26 to 28 November) ended in Benghazi today.  The event was organized by the National Mining Corporation of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals of the eastern based Libyan government.

The organisers reported that the event enjoyed the participation of many local and international companies specialised in the mining sector and witnessed presentations of many advanced technologies and solutions in the exploitation of mineral resources.‎

‎Discussion sessions were organised for different specialisations, including on the role of aggregate crushers during which owners complained about the challenges they face, including most notably the lack of infrastructure, especially roads leading to crushers sites. ‎

‎The Head of the Contracts and Agreements Unit at the National Mining Corporation, Salma Al-Sulaimani, stressed the efforts made to develop the mining sector in Libya through the sustainable exploitation of mineral resources. ‎

‎Representatives of cement companies advertised their multiple products and the expansion of high quality production‎.
