Acting Interior Minister Imad Trabelsi signed a memorandum of understanding with his Turkish counterpart Ali Yerlikaya.
The MoU aims to strengthen security relations and promote the exchange of experiences in the fields of law enforcement and crime control.
The two sides also discussed facilitating visa procedures for Libyan patients and students, and a range of issues of common interest, where they stressed the importance of developing security cooperation to ensure the protection of common interests and promote regional stability.
Ways of cooperation in the fields of security training and qualification and the exchange of information to combat terrorist threats and organized crime were also discussed.
The signing of the MoU comes on the sidelines of SAHA EXPO, which kicked off on Tuesday (22 October) in Istanbul – a leading exhibition specialised in defence industries and advanced technology.
