The Ministry of Oil and Gas organised a workshop last Wednesday (18 September) at Brega Company on ‘‘Localisation of Renewable Energies in Oil and Gas Sector Companies’’.
The workshop dealt with several topics, including:
1- The reality of the international energy market and its repercussions on international and Arab oil companies.
2- Energy efficiency and rationalisation of electrical energy consumption in oil fields and facilities.
3- The impact of electric transport on the oil market (electric cars).
4- Knowledge transfer and development in the field of renewable energy.
5- Production of green hydrogen.
The workshop was organized by the Administrative Development Department at Brega Company in coordination with the Ministry of Oil and Gas, and was presented by Dr. Jihad Ali Al-Ammari, Director of the Renewable Energy Office at the Ministry.
The Ministry of Oil and Gas said it is committed to promoting the use of renewable energies and increasing energy efficiency in the oil and gas sector, and looks forward to more events that support these trends.
