Tripoli Chamber of Commerce and the National Industry Promotion Authority (NIPA) are to hold a workshop on the difficulties facing manufacturers and finding appropriate solutions for them, in the presence of all relevant parties.

The news was revealed today by Tripoli Chamber after a meeting yesterday of its chairman, Anwar Abu Sitta, at the Chamber’s Tripoli headquarters, with Miftah Ageela Senusi, Chairman of NIPA, in the presence of several department directors from both sides.

Tripoli Chamber said the meeting comes in the context of communicating with the relevant authorities to overcome the difficulties facing its members.

Difficulties facing the sector
The meeting discussed all the difficulties facing the industrial sector and its members, the procedures and measures necessary to protect, encourage and develop national products. The difficulties included customs duties, electricity prices, opening export prospects for national products, and protecting the local product from dumping operations.

They also discussed cooperation and coordination between the two parties to implement economic policies.
