The Chairman of the Renewable Energy Authority of Libya (REAoL), Abdul Salam Al-Ansari, held a meeting today at REAoL’s Tripoli headquarters, with the German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Ohnmacht, and his accompanying delegation.‎

‎The meeting dealt with a number of topics aimed at enhancing joint cooperation between Libya and Germany in the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency.‎

‎Continuing existing cooperation
REAoL reported that Ohnmacht stressed the importance of continuing the existing cooperation between REAoL and German institutions working in the same field, including the German Foundation for International Cooperation (GIZ).

This cooperation is to provide the necessary technical support to REAoL through the implementation of training courses to build national capacities, holding specialized workshops, providing experts specialized in the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency, and supporting the implementation of the National Strategy for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency and the projects and initiatives included in it, in particular the GO Green initiative.‎
