Ministry of Industry and Minerals inaugurates beta polymer factory for chemical industries in Misrata Industrial Zone

Minister of Industry meets the Committee for Localisation of Oil Materials and Equipment Industry

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals for Production, Industrial Zones and General Affairs, Mustafa Al-Samo, inaugurated the Beta Polymer Factory for Chemical Industries in Misrata’s Kararem Industrial Zone today.

‎The Ministry of Industry and Minerals said this opening comes within the framework of its efforts to promote the industrial sector, encourage investment and provide new job opportunities.

It said the Beta Polymer plant is one of the important industrial projects that are expected to contribute to achieving local economic growth and improving the level of industrial production in the country.

The factory specializes in the production of a variety of chemical products that meet the needs of the local market, including paints and coatings of all kinds, building materials, paper, furniture, textiles, carpets, soil fixation in roads, concrete additives, in addition to uses in the field of printing and packaging.‎

‎Project reflects investors’ confidence in local economic environment
During his opening speech, the Undersecretary expressed his optimism about the future of the industrial sector in Libya, noting that this project reflects investors’ confidence in the local economic environment. He stressed the Ministry of Industry and Minerals’ continuous support for industrial projects with the aim of achieving sustainable development.‎
