The Director General of the Libyan Customs Authority, Major General Suleiman Ali Salem, signed two agreements last Tuesday (7 May) on Customs Cooperation and the Organization of Transit Transport between the Arab Countries (Amended).

The agreement was signed at the Cairo headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States as part of an official signing ceremony.

The agreement aims at revitalizing intra-trade and economic ties between the Arab countries.

Libya is the ninth to sign the customs cooperation agreement, and the third to regulate transit transport between the Arab League countries.
