Economy Minister Hwej discusses with Saudis shipping line, investment forum and halal products

Economy Minister Hwej reviews his ministry’s implementation of its 2023 plan and issues several directives

Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Hwej, discussed with the Chargé d’Affaires of Saudi Arabia to Libya, Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Shehri, the possibility of activating commercial maritime shipping between the ports of the two countries to enhance cooperation and raise the level of trade exchange.

The two sides discussed, last Wednesday (16 May) at the Ministry’s Tripoli headquarters, the mechanism for organizing the Libyan-Saudi Investment Forum and the accompanying exhibition for Saudi products in Tripoli during the current year, and the importance of cooperation between the Ministry’s Halal Products Committee and the Saudi Centre for Halal Products in applying the approved standard specifications and requirements and exchanging information and data about Islamic slaughter centers.
