Misrata Free Zone (MFZ) reported yesterday that Singaporean consultancy company, Surbana Jurong, ‘‘one of the largest and most efficient consulting companies for infrastructure development’’, has begun implementing its consulting work to increase the efficiency of the MFZ and its seaport at various levels.
This step came after an official partnership agreement was concluded between MFZ and the Singaporean company in September 2023. The agreement aims to develop MFZ with its various facilities, most notably the port, to become a global centre for trade, logistics, investment, and the primary transit interface towards landlocked countries on the African continent.
MFZ said this step is not the first and will not be the last in the way of improving the quality and efficiency of the work of the region as a whole and the port in particular, which will reflect positively on the pace and quality of work in the near future.
