Mellitah Oil wins US$ 60 million Paris court appeal defence against Italy’s Sicon Oil

Mellitah Oil & Gas looking to charter three helos

Libya’s state Mellitah Oil & Gas Company reports that it has won a case before the Paris Court of Appeal against Italy’s Sicon Oil & Gas Company.

Mellitah’s media page reported yesterday that the Paris Court of Appeal issued its ruling rejecting the appeal submitted by Sicon Oil and Gas Company (Milan, Italy) in the ruling issued by the Arbitration Court of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – Paris.

The court rejected the lawsuit filed by the Sicon Company demanding compensation totalling US$ 60 million.

The court also ruled that Sicon pay Mellitah Company Euro 30,000.00 for its costs, in addition to charging it with the expenses.
