According to Libya’s Tripoli based Ministry of Industry and Minerals an Italian business delegation visiting Libya early in 2024 will discuss the topic of the localisation of oil industry.

The news was revealed by the Committee for Localising Oil Fields Equipment (CLOFE) during its participation in the Libyan-Italian Economic Forum in Rome on 6-7 December.

CLOFE reported that it had held intensive bilateral meetings at the event and that during its presentation at the specific oil and gas session, it reported on the promising investment opportunities, partnership, cooperation, and common interests, where the industrial base and qualified factories are ready for investment.

CLOFE reported the Italian side appreciated these promising opportunities, despite the investment challenges, and pledged to discuss them with industrial companies and bankers during an expected working visit to Libya at the beginning of next year.
