The Director of the Media Office at the Ministry of Transport, Siraj Al-Hamal, said that the Airports Authority held a meeting on 21 December with the Austrian accreditation company TUV.

Al-Hamal pointed out that at the meeting, TUV made a presentation about its company, its history as one of the internationally accredited companies for issuing quality management conformity system certificates. TUV also announced the local entities, institutions and companies that it has provided its services to and contributed to granting them accredited certificates of conformity and quality.

Ministry of Transport seeking international accreditation
Al-Hamal stressed that the Ministry of Transport, through its local aviation authorities, including the Airport Authority operating Libyan airports, seeks to adhere to all civil aviation safety standards and apply international quality standards in the management of all services provided within Libyan airports. This, he explained, so that it can achieve the strategic goal related to ending the air travel ban imposed by some countries, as well as to contribute to opening international airspace on all continents of the world to Libyan airlines.

TUV to help Airports Authority on accreditation
Al-Hamal noted the desire of the Austrian company to cooperate with the Airports Authority, to evaluate the current system and suggest ways to raise the level of administrative performance, so that it can obtain accreditation for the quality management system.

The meeting with TUV was held in the presence of the Assistant Head of the Authority, the Director of the Planning and Organization Department, the Director of the Standards Conformity Department, the Director of the Legal Office, and the Head of the Organizational Development Department at the Authority and representatives of the Austrian company in Libya.
