Expertise France reported yesterday that a delegation from the Libyan Tax Authority, the (Tripoli based) Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, along with a delegation from Expertise France and in the presence of the two international tax experts, participated in a visit to Paris.
The visit was part of the PAMRI project funded by the French government to review the organization of the French General Directorate of Public Finance (DGFIP) and its strategic services and benefit from its experience to support the Libyan Tax Authority in their strategic transformation plan in digitalising their services and support the Large Taxpayer Unit.
Among the visits of the participating team to the relevant French tax key actors, the participants discussed the electronic procedures adopted by the large French taxpayer unit. They learned about the digital solutions available, the scope of their work, and the factors that must be considered when choosing a digital solution and applying it within the authority to digitise tax services in Libya. Participants also met French National School of Public Finance (ENFiP) members. They watched a presentation of the training system and e-learning platform used in recruitment and vocational training for the French General Directorate of Public Finance.
