The International Forum & Exhibition for Free Zones – Misrata: 28 to 29 June at Misrata Free Zone

The Director of the Media Office of the Misrata Free Zone (MFZ), Aladdin Baba, confirmed in an exclusive interview with Libya Herald that the ship JOLLY ARGENTO arrived at MFZ port from the port of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The container ship carrying the flag of Portugal, is 264.28 meters long and 32.29 meters wide, and has 1,100 TEUS containers on board.

Ship’s arrival underlines the MFZ port’s international standard services
Baba said the docking at MFZ by the JOLLY ARGENTO highlighted the ability of the MFZ Port to receive cargo ships of large sizes and draught, whether container or bulk ships. It is ultimate proof of the availability of all services related to transit trade at the port’s docks and stations, with international standards and the highest rates of security and safety, he added.

MFZ targeted for Mediterranean transit trade
He said MFZ port continues to receive transit ships from various ports of the world and shipping lines, which placed the port of the MFZ port among the ports targeted for transit and transit trade towards other ports in the Mediterranean basin and the African coasts.
