Prime Minister Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba inaugurated the 49th edition of the Tripoli International Fair last night which runs from 7 to 13 May. The government reports that 150 local and 25 foreign companies are participating in the event from Tunisia, Algeria, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Spain and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Libya).

In his opening speech, Aldabaiba said the holding of international exhibitions in Libya and other major events is a clear indication of the stability Libya has reached, which must be continued and supported.

He praised the efforts of the Ministry of Economy and private sector companies in advancing the national economy, stressing that the government is working to develop the General Exhibitions Authority to return Libya to the international investment map.
