Private sector Libyan carrier, Ghadames Air, took delivery of its Airbus 330 on Thursday.
The new addition to its fleet is a second-hand craft that will be put into service on the Tripoli-Istanbul route.
Its larger capacity will enable it to carry more passengers as well as more cargo on the profitable Istanbul route, a source at the airliner told Libya Herald.
Ghadames Air said they are awaiting clearance from the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority for the Airbus before it can be put into service. No date has been set yet.
