Misrata Free Zone (MFZ) sponsored (platinum) and participated in the largest regional scientific gathering of local, regional and international maritime transport industry leaders.

The three-day conference (12 to 14 March), the International Conference on Maritime Transport and Logistics “MARLOG 12”, was held in Egypt, and was organized by the Ports Training Institute of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.

Under the banner ‘‘The Importance of Innovation and Modern Technologies and their Role Towards Achieving a Sustainable and Flexible Future for Ports and Logistics’’, dealt with contemporary and current issues that occupy the maritime community, which are compatible with global trends, pace and development and the smooth work in the maritime field.

The most important of these were:

1- Strategies for flexible supply chains and their role in enhancing competitiveness in the maritime transport and logistics services industry.
