The Libyan Ports Authority reported yesterday that Khoms Port had received new handling equipment the previous day – all made in Libya.

The handling equipment consisted of one new funnel used for handling general goods ships and three boxes for collecting bulk grains from docks.

The handling equipment was manufactured by the Libyan Ports Company’s Marine Industry and Maintenance Branch.

The Ports Authority said the new equipment supplies come within the framework of its effort to develop and provide handling equipment to achieve satisfactory handling rates for suppliers in all ports that it operates.
