The Minister of Economy and Trade issued Resolution No. 508 of 2022 yesterday which prohibits the practice of all retail or wholesale commercial activities by non-Libyans.
The Municipal Guard offices, labour inspection offices and all the control authorities are to take legal measures for violations, in particular for practice of the following by foreigners:
1-Sale and purchase transactions, whether directly or on behalf of others.
2-The rent bakeries and shops for themselves.
3-Carrying out real estate brokerage.
