The Libya Export Promotion Centre (LEPC) is planning to hold the ‘‘Export of Communications and Information Technology Services’’ (ECITS) event next June. The revelation was made at today’s opening day of the second Libyan International Forum for Information Technology (LIT2) at Tripoli Sports City.
At the event the LEPC told Libya Herald that the objectives of the ECITS is to promote the idea of Libya exporting ICT services. It also aims to introduce locally based companies and national competencies and the possibility of exporting their services abroad.
The LEPC said it hoped the event will help in exchanging experiences and knowledge and motivating in build partnerships between national and foreign institutions.
It also hopes the ECITS will help locals keep abreast of the latest technologies and software used in the field of communications and information technology.
The LEPC said the event will encourage and assist graduates and project owners in exporting their services to international markets.
Finally, it hopes the event will contribute to supporting and diversifying away from hydrocarbons the national economy by seeking to export communications and information technology services.
