London, 28 September 2021:

The private sector Libyan Council for Oil and Gas and Renewable Energy (LCOGRE) is participating with 16 Libyan companies in the OMC 2021 Med Energy Conference and Exhibition 28-30 September in Ravenna, Italy.

More participation for Libyan private sector

LCOGRE chairman Khaled Benothman told Libya Herald his organization’s participation in the OMC 2021 gives Libyan companies an opportunity to meet the 850 international companies participating in the event.

He said the LCOGRE is determined to give a larger participation in the Libyan energy sector to the private sector that the LCOGRE represents.

Benothman said the private sector is also keen to increase the contribution and role of renewable energy in Libya to diversify the country’s economy and reduce hydrocarbon dependency.
