London, 25 August 2021:

The Municipality of Al-Maya reported yesterday that the construction of its port has restarted after a hiatus of more than twelve years. Al-Maya is located about 28 KM west of Tripoli along the main Coastal Road.

After several false starts, the Municipality said actual construction by the implementing company in the form of earth moving has commenced as heavy bulldozers moved in at the site. The ability to commence works was partially attributed to the improvement of security in the area.
