London, 14 July 2021:
Libya’s Tadawul Financial Group announced that it has achieved PCI-CP certification for its debit card issuing centre in Libya.
PCI-CP is a payment card industry data protection standard that is designed to specify security controls for card production and provisioning customer payment information on cards. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is an information security standard for organizations that handle branded credit cards from the major card schemes. The PCI Standard is mandated by the card brands but administered by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council.
The Tadawul Financial Group’s printing and customization centre will be the first in Libya that will enable it to produce international payment cards branded by MasterCard.
It means that local and regional banks and financial companies can provide global payment cards (MasterCard) to their customers in a short period of time and with lower shipping costs, Tadawul said.
