London, 25 May 2021:

Tobruk airport reported today that construction work on its new passenger terminal is proceeding on schedule.

It reported that contractor “General Work Libya, the subsidiary of Italian General Work Company implementing the project proceeded with advanced work on the project and has reached the third stage of the project, which is the pouring floors in reinforced concrete.

The airport reported that the supply and installation work of the terminal’s metal structure has been completed.

It also reported that a sample of sandwich panel material was approved for the upper ceiling of the terminal. The panels are expected this week at the work site to complete their installation.

The airport reported that the project is in advanced stages and is continuing at an excellent pace and with variable completion rates but is expected to be completed on schedule.
