Libya’s Tripoli based Ministry of Health confirmed Friday that a third patient infected with Coronavirus (Covid-19) had died. The death brings Libya’s death toll from the pandemic to three, with 61 cases and 18 recoveries.
According to the Director of the Emergency Department of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Haraisha, the third case, who passed away on Thursday afternoon at the Mitiga Quarantine Centre, was a 92-year-old woman, who was in contact with Libya’s second Coronavirus death.
He added that the case was admitted 10 days ago at Mitiga Quarantine Centre with after taking her samples and her positive result. She was then placed under medical observation and care until she entered into a critical situation and passed away.
