London, 24 May 2019:

Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) held a technical workshop on 20 May to discuss proposals submitted for the development of the North Hamada oilfield.

The NOC said that it was keen to develop the field, operated by Nafusa Oil Operations. The field is in concession 47 of the Ghadames basin in the Northwest of Libya.

The technical discussions focussed on the use of early production facilities, and the most appropriate ways to deal with associated produced gas. Other production challenges related to the field’s complicated geology, as well as required technical solutions, were also discussed at the workshop.
