London, 21 February 2018:
The Libyan National Army (LNA) Spokesman Ahmed Mesmari confirmed that a suicide car bomb killed three soldiers and injured two at an LNA checkpoint 22 km west of the central Libyan city of Waddan on the road towards Tripoli. Other Libyan media have reported 5 deaths and 7 injuries.
Mesmari said that the terror attack took place at about 9.15 this morning using a Jeep killing members of the 127th Infantry Brigade that was part of the Juffra Operations Room.
The attack is being attributed to ISIS hiding in the southern desert region beyond the central Juffra region.
