Cairo, 19 November 2017:
A general call for a range of absent security officials to return to their positions has been made by armed forces commander-in-chief Khalifa Hafter.
His order, issued yesterday instructs all members of the police, customs, public and municipal guards who quit during the Revolution to come back to their former jobs.
It is unclear how many people are involved. Some Qaddafi-era officials certainly quit their posts after February 17 2011, out of fear for their safety and may no longer be in the country. Others backed the Revolution by joining militias.
