Algeria has denounced the attack on the Brak Al-Shatti airbase which resulted in dozens of Libyans soldiers being slaughtered.
“We strongly condemn this attacks and note that for several years we have constantly encouraged the Libyan parties to support dialogue and national reconciliation to solve the crisis,” a spokesman for the Algerian foreign ministry said today.
With Ramadan approaching, he called on protagonists to exercise restraint and reject any escalation of violence. It would only lead to chaos and destruction, he said.
