Amman, 28 March 2017:
The head of the Presidency Council (PC) arrived in Jordan today for the Arab Summit which gets underway tomorrow at at the King Hussein Convention Center on the Dead Sea.
The conflict in Libya, along with those in Syria and Yemen, willtop the agenda.
Serraj and his delegation which included foreign minister Mohamed Siala was met at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport by King Abdullah II. The two leaders then spent some time discussing the Libyan situation.
Serraj had been in Qatar.
Meanwhile, the House of Representatives in Tobruk, which does not recognise the PC, has issued a protest at him being invited to the summit. It accused the Arab League of violating Libya’s sovereignty in doing so, insisting that it, not the PC, was Libya’s sole legitimate top authority.
