Eight people are in custody after the Benghazi murder of a Bangladeshi nurse.
According to Muhammad Muzammal Haque of the Bangladeshi embassy in Tripoli, the body of Milon Parvin, who had been working in Libya for eight years, was found in her flat by colleagues concerned she had not turned up for work on Friday.
It is reported that LD30,000 which Parvin had saved to send home to her family, was missing. The 50-year old nurse worked at Al-Hawari hospital and also helped out with the Libyan Red Crescent’s Ibn Sina polyclinic.
The detained men, a Libyan and seven Bangladeshis, are being questioned about her death and the disappearance of her savings and other belongings.
