Buraq Air slashes cost of Tunisia flights Tripoli football fans

Tunis, 9 March 2016:

Buraq Air is heavily discounting the cost . . .[restrict]of flights to Tunisia for fans of Tripoli football clubs Al-Ahly and Ittihad wanting to see their teams play against Sudanese and Ghanaian teams.

The cost of return flights from Mitiga to Monastir and Sfax for the fans is being cut from LD 450 to LD 260. Monastir currently serves as the closest airport to Tunis that Libyan carriers are allowed to use.

Dedicated flights are being put on for the fans.

On Saturday, Al-Ahly will play Sudan’s Al-Hilal at Chedli Zouiten Stadium in Tunis as part of the first round of the CAF (Confederation of African Football) Champions League.

The following day, Ittihad will play Ghana FA Cup champions Medeama in the first round of the 2016 CAF Confederations Cup. The match will take place at the Taïeb Mehiri Stadium in Sfax. [/restrict]
