Tripoli, 19 October 2015:
Production at the giant El Fil field in south western Libya will restart “within days” . . .[restrict]according to the Libyan news agency LANA.
It quotes the oilfield manager, Abdul Fattah Bani, saying that a deal had been struck with local staff over back pay.
Providing that technical repairs were carried out, production could quickly reach its capacity of 130,000 barrels a day, Bani added.
The field, run by Italian energy giant Eni, has been closed since April. [/restrict]
