Tunis, 9 August 2015:
The Libyan government has sent a helicopter to the southern town of Kufra to transport . . .[restrict]those injured in the recent clashes there.
Communal clashes in the southeastern oasis town has been taking place on-off for months. In July the Tebu-Zwai tribal tit-for-tat killings exploded into bloody armed clashes with some 15 reportedly killed.
The government and its Libyan National Army (LNA) has failed despite numerous efforts to put an end to the long ongoing clashes.
The leader of Kufra city council, Muftah Bukhalil confirmed that in agreement with the Libyan government in Beida, two aircraft would be sent to his town bringing medicine and fuel and taking the injured back. [/restrict]
