The government in Beida has announced the appointment of a new official spokesman. Hatem Ali . . .[restrict]Oraibi replaces Mohamed Bazaza who was sacked four weeks ago.
No reason was given at the time for the latter’s dismissal but it is has been claimed it was because he had made comments about the growing power of the military.
The appointment of Oraibi has surprised Libya’s media. He is unknown in journalistic circles.
The Oraibis are a prominent Benghazi family and include Benghazi member of the House of Representatives, Aisa Al-Oraibi.
