Ghariyan’s local football team, Ittihad, . . .[restrict]has advanced to the semi-finals of a tournament being held this week in Tripoli.
Ittihad defeated Zawia’s Asaria 4-1, with Ghariyan’s Abdul Rahman Saeed scoring all four goals.
Ittihad Club Steering Committee Chairman Walid Kamal told the Libya Herald that the team is waiting to learn whom they will face in the semi-final match. It will be the winner of today’s match between Ahli Tripoli and a University of Tripoli team.
The tournament, organised by the University of Tripoli, includes 12 local club teams from Tripoli and other western areas. [/restrict]
