Banks will be open from 8.30 am to midday this Friday, the Central Bank of . . .[restrict]Libya has announced. This is to enable customers to withdraw cash and carry out business ahead of the Eid holiday which starts on Saturday.
Banks have been operating almost normally in the capital with cash available for withdrawal. Elsewhere in the country, the situation has also eased with emergency deliveries of cash to banks not only to deal with the lack of liquidity and allow normal commercial life to resume but also to enable customers to withdraw money to spend for Eid.
On Tuesday, five million dinars was transferred to banks in Sirte and Bin Jawad and, testerday, there was a delivery of seven millon dinars from the CBL to the Wahda Bank’s branches in Jalu, Awjila and Jakharra [/restrict]
