Tripoli, 27 September 2014:
Much remains unclear about Monday’s talks to be hosted by UNSMIL chief Bernardino Leon, not least . . .[restrict]the location.
However it seems that, initially at least, there may be no face-to-face meeting between the Thinni government with the House of Representatives on one side and the reconstituted GNC and the Omar Al-Hassi-led National Salvation government it has appointed.
“We will not sit with putschists and armed groups”, HoR spokesman Faraj Hashim asserted today, according to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat. He said that representatives of the parliament in Tobruk would only talk with “national parties”, which he did not go on to define.
