Turkish Airlines has launched its first night flight between Istanbul to Tripoli. According to airline . . .[restrict]sources, security at the airport has sufficiently improved to allow for night flights.
The flight will also mean more same-day connections for Tripoli passengers transiting through Istanbul. The flight departs Istanbul at 23.25 pm, arrives Tripoli at 01.30 am then departs again to Istanbul at 02.25 am.
Turkish Airlines has three daily flights between Tripoli and Istanbul and seven weekly flights between Benghazi and Istanbul. It also operates six flights a week between Misrata and Istanbul.
Yesterday, Turkish Airlines celebrated the fifth anniversary of starting operations to Benghazi. It was also the 36th anniversary of its Tripoli route. There was a reception in Benghazi attended to mark the event. [/restrict]
