Tripoli, 8 May 2014:

On 24-25 May, over . . .[restrict]100 companies will attend the 2nd Nalut Economic Expo, covering electrical appliances for the home, electronic goods, building materials, heavy machinery and consumer goods.

According to Salem Jrnaz, chief of the exhibition committee, the organisers are continuing to receive applications for the expo from both foreign and Libyan companies.  About 50 percent of the companies registered are Libyan, while the rest are from Tunisia, India, Morocco and Egypt, he told Libya Herald.

Last year’s expo was sponsored by Nalut Youth Association for Charity and the Libyan Tunisian Friendship Association.  This year, the expo will be run with the help of  volunteers, civil society organizations and the Al-Masa Association for Development.  In addition to this, the Libyan Export Promotion Centre has signed on as the Diamond Sponsor for this event.
