The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) will release into general circulation the new LD 0.50 coin . . .[restrict]as of tomorrow.
The new coin has a golden centre with a silver outer ring. The archeological city of Girza is depicted on the front together with the security insignias of a half a dinar that changes to a crescent and star. The CBL is also written in English together with 17 stars symbolizing the February 17 Revolution.
On the reverse side the coin is decorated with Islamic calligraphy.
Both the old and new editions of the half dinar coin will continue in circulation side by side, the bank revealed. [/restrict]
