The Prime Minister’s spokespersoni, Ahmed Lamine, has denied reports that Abdullah Al-Thinni submitted a request to the Ministry of Justice to investigate the legality of the appointment of the Ahmed Maetig as prime minister.
It was reported that the Administration of Fatwa (advisory) and Law, a division of the Ministry of Justice, was asked to judge the legality of Tuesday evening’s session in which voting for the appointment of Maetig was held a second time in order to reach the 120 votes needed.
Lamine said that Al-Thinni has not asked that the legality of the voting session be investigated. [/restrict]
